WHAT IS CF-RELATED DIABETES?
CF Diabetes is unique and differs from Type I and Type II Diabetes. It can be the results of both insulin sensitivity and insulin resistance. Excess mucous may block and eventually scar pancreatic ducts, which causes a problem with the secretion on insulin. The pancreas stops producing the normal amounts of insulin and there is a delay in the release resulting in the person becoming insulin deficient.
